Author Cauldron

Write Creatively, Grow Consistently

Build your writing practice in community

Author Cauldron is a holistic writer’s workshop designed to support you in growing as a writer and creating consistently. In the Cauldron, you will both develop your craft skills and build the resilience, flexibility and self-compassion necessary for long-term creative commitment.

The Deets

An ongoing, subscription-based workshop for fiction and nonfiction writers

3-8 members at any given time, your monthly payment of $133 holds your spot

Meets every other Friday on Zoom 3-4:30pm ET

You’ll get workshopped every ~3 months

Meetings consist of craft talks and participant workshops

On the day you’re workshopped, it’s your time to talk about your creative goals, this season in your life, and your craft questions and struggles. The group is here to support you in what you want to focus on.

Between your workshops, you’re welcome to ask for feedback outside of our meeting times on what you’re working on: i.e., you can ask any workshop member who has the space to read your piece and answer craft questions or reflect back their impression of it. Participants are responsible for negotiating their own capacity and focus for these conversations together.

We read 1-2 submissions for every session. Participants submit their work the meeting prior to when they are to be workshopped. Submissions can range from 4 to 30 pages, and the kinds of feedback received will vary accordingly (shorter: more detailed, feedback on specifics; longer: broader, big-picture).
